April 2010 - B.E.A.T. - 2010

What: The 13th annual B.E.A.T. "British Euro Auto Tour" (we need more Volvo’s on this trip!)

When: April 17th & 18th, 2009 (Registration cut off 3/22/10 or first 150 cars)
Where: Caravan to meet at Crescent Hotel I -17 & Dunlap (north side) Arrive 6:00AM to leave at 6:30AM Sharp. These tickets will enable each registration the chance of winning two prizes. June 2010

What: Mid-summer Pool Party and 240 Tech Session

When: Saturday June12th 10:30am to 2:00 pm

Where: Hosted at the Westwood home, 3219 N. Ramada Circle Mesa, Arizona 85215 (480) 830-7235

Come over for a cannonball fest for the kids! Umbrellas and misters shade the play pool for relaxing and spirited fun for kids of all ages. Plenty of pool toys, noodles, floaties, squirt guns, and a special inflatable alligator (“Allie”) to bond with. Steve and Joni are cooking up main dish of burgers, hotdogs, and savory chicken. Bring a salad or something fun you want to share with the ravenous appetites of Volvo owners. We will have plenty of cool drinks to keep you hydrated and fresh! In the back garage we will be hosting a tech session on Sam’s 1992 Volvo 245 wagon undergoing restoration.

Fresh aftermarket carpet installation techniques and exterior trim painting tips is the topic.

What: Cactus Chapter Willow Lake Cruise and Picnic

When: Saturday July 10th 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

Where: Heritage Park, 1497 Heritage Park Road, Prescott, Arizona.

Heritage Park surrounds Willow Lake and features fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking trails, bird watching, full service restrooms, and covered picnic areas.

Cactus Chapter Volvo Club of America has reserved the Hilltop Ramada for this special day of fun and camaraderie. This will be a great time to get out of the hot climate and play outdoors in the higher elevation, with a great lunch and entertainment for little kids and big kids alike! Special guest Alfred Holzapfle from Volvo North America will be our guest speaker. Rory and Marney Madden are our Prescott hosts and coordinators of this event. Parking passes will be provided prior to the event with your confirmation to attend. Inexpensive fun! Only $5.00 for adults kids up to age 12 are free!!!
